Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) appealed to the Government departments concerned to take up necessary measures to curb the issue of substance abuse in the State.
A press release issued by CCSK said that a meeting was convened today in its office in connection with the issue attended by functionaries of various rehabilitation centres across the State.
The inconveniences and problems faced by the rehabilitation centres in the State were deliberated during the meeting.
Special emphasis was given on the relation between the drug users and rehab centres and many expressed the desire of conducting training programs to improve the same and strive collectively for a progressive society.
Speaking on the occasion, president of CCSK Jeetendra Ningomba stated that it will lead to the path of a destructive society without any law instead of a constructive one if the trend of criticising each other's activities continue rather than providing valuable inputs for improvement.
At the end of the meeting, the attendees pledged to work earnestly to curb the issue of drug abuse and its related crimes in the State.
