Commander flags off NIT

Imphal, January 07 2015:
A National integration tour, organised by 44 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) was flagged off by Commander of 10 Sector Assam Rifles, Brig Peeyush Pandey yesterday.
The two-week tour comprise of 19 students and three teachers from Kamjong and Kasom Khullen sub-divisions of Ukhrul district.
They would visit important places of Bangalore and Mysore including Lalbagh, Tipu Sultan Palace, IT Park, SSB Centre, MEG Centre, Wonderland Amusement Park, Banergatta National Park, Vrindaban Garden, Mysore Palace, Mysore Zoo etc.
Conducted with an aim to strengthen the bonds between different communities and giving the students a glimpse of the diverse culture of the Nation, the tour would encourage their involvement in Nation building, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
Brig Peeyush Pandey congratulated the selected children and exhorted them to gain valuable knowledge from the tour.
He also encouraged them to utilize the opportunity to discover the prospects that are available outside and imbibe the positive values of people from different States of India which shall empower them in their career and subsequent contributions to the growth and development of Manipur.
