Imphal, May 02, 2011:
Reacting the news report published in the May 1 issue, mother of the two sisters K Hatneilam Vaiphei and paternal aunt Tinglamkim contended that the report was untrue and fabricated.
"It cam out as a result of a wrong information I received about the welfare of the home that first devastated me and made me sought the help of S Khambuang to immediately initiate complain but later on found out to be false information", the mother said in a press release.
Saying that she personally signed the document for her consent and was never forced to give her thumb impression, Hatneilam said that it was never an act of human trafficking but rather done respectfully through mutual consent.
Tinglamkim said that the whole story of the news report was done either out of ignorance or fabricated to tarnish the image of Zomi Mothers' Association and the charitable home located at Coimbatore.
Saying that she had personally visited the home twice, Tinglamkim claimed that care and concern those people running the home had for the children were rather exemplary and enormous.
