As per an understanding reached between SCERT and MEELAL authorities on February 12, the training programme of Meetei Mayek for government school teachers under SCERT will continue, a release issued by the publicity secretary of MEELAL, KC Khuman said.
It said that a meeting was held on February 12 at SCERT office with the auspices of A Romen, DIET in-charge of SCERT and Ng Yumjao, president of MEELAL.
It was agreed that the authority must not allow uninterested teachers in the training programme.
The statement said that an assistant teacher of Heiyel Loubuk Primary School, Thokchom Basantakumar, was found to have participated in a training programme of SCERT in Thoubal district without any regard for the Mayek, by the investigating team of MEELAL.
It also warned that MEELAL will not remain silent if any uninterested person ever participates in the training programme of Meetei Mayek and befitting action will be initiated against such person.
