Class boycotted

Bishnupur, August 31 2017:
Enraged students of Wangoo Higher Secondary School boycotted classes and locked the school gate today regarding the neglect of the authority concerned as well as the State Government in providing the required teachers of the school, which has been a long time demand of the students .
The school which was upgraded to a higher secondary school in 2016 has a total strength of 556 students from class VI to XI at the present and are taught by only nine teachers .
The demand of the students dates back to the time when the school was not even upgraded to the level of a higher secondary and the constant negligence of the authority concerned has enraged the students and compelled them to the close the school today .
The students also staged a protest demonstration in front of the school, demanding to send the required teachers at the earliest .
Speaking to media persons, one of the students stated that classes will be boycotted for three days beginning today and warned to give up their text books to the Director and concerned ZEO on September 2, if the Government and the authority concerned continues to remain mum.
