Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam today visited the injured victims of the bomb blast at Singjamei Chingamakhong who are un-dergoing treatment at different hospitals.
Gaikhangam who is also in charge of Home Department visited the victims at RIMS, Shija Hospital, Advance Hospital and a few other hospitals.
He gave monetary assistance of Rs 5000 to each of the injured victims.
The Home Minister also visited and extended monetary assistance to Imphal Times Editor Khumukcham Ringku at Shija Hospital where he is undergoing treatment following an accident.
Gaikhangam asserted that the bomb blast at Singjamei Chingamakhong which killed two migrant labourers and injured 18 people ought to be condemned by all the people.

Pledging that all those involved in the blast would never be let off, Gaikhangam assured all possible assistance to the injured victims from the side of the Government.
On the other hand, a protest demonstration was staged at Chingamakhong bus waiting shed today against the blast.
The protesters also put up placards which read as "Don't plant explosives in civilian areas", "We want peace" etc.
The Chinga Keithel Board, Chingamakha, Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit Sy- stem, Students' League Mani-pur and Komrem Union, Ma- nipur (NEI) also condemned the blast that occurred at Sin-gjamei Chingamakhong mar- ket shed yesterday claiming the lives of two non-locals.
The bodies in a separate statements urged all concerned to refrain from such acts in future.
