Home Secretary GK Pillai, on his visit to the State, will not only take stock of the internal security measures being taken up in Manipur to cope with the difficult situations and matters connected with the SoO, but also see if there would be any possibility to initiate dialogue with the major insurgent outfits of Manipur as urged by the memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister by the Senior Citizens for Society (SCS), Manipur recently.
It may recalled here that SCS Manipur had urged the Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohon Singh to initiate process for political dialogue with the major insurgent organisations actively operating in Manipur.

If the SCS earnestly tries, the Centre believes that some of the insurgent organisations of Manipur may agree to have peace talks.
