Imphal, September 11 2016:
BJP Manipur Pradesh spokesperson Indira Oinam has accused the State Government of suppressing the rights of the State's minority communities.
Speaking to media persons at their Nityaipat Chuthek office, Indira said that the CM has been suppressing the rights of the minority community as the affairs of the particular community have not been entrusted to a Minister belonging to the community.
At the time of election, the minority community was goaded to vote for Congress party but the Congress Government has been suppressing their rights.
As such, the minority community need to teach Congress party a befitting lesson, she said.
Reacting to Commerce and Industries Minister Govindas Konthoujam's assertion that BJP was not suitable to the soil of Manipur, Indira said that the Congress party has been deliberately keeping away economic empowerment from the people of Manipur apart from denying many of their basic rights.
It is the Congress party which is no longer suitable to the soil of Manipur, she contended.
