Imphal, May 11 2012:
The recent cold-blooded murder of three cadres at Chadong village under Litan police station after they were handed over to Nongdam post commander of 23 Assam Rifles Maj Hanuman for formal surrender should be an eye-opener for the people of Manipur.
The same incident has also exposed the cowardice and homicidal tendency of the Indian military, UNLF asserted in a press release issued by its Senior Publicity Officer Ksh Yoiheiba.
All those people who side-stepped and ran away from the liberation movement or surrendered to the alien forces would meet the same fate as the Chadong victims.
Many of the surrendered cadres were used by security forces as their proxies in the fight against revolutionaries.
Many of the surrendered cadres who are given shelter in the camps of security forces have been committing all kinds of anti-social and criminal activities in the name of revolutionary groups at the command of their host security units.
Thus using the surrendered cadres with a sinister intention to defame the revolutionaries and project the revolutionary movement in wrong light, the surrendered cadres are eliminated in fake encounters when their utilities run outy or when they dare to disobey the command of their hosts.
For security forces, such fake encounters is also an effective means to get oneself adorned with gallantry awards, the outfit alleged.
It was the same case with Laishram Nobin alias Khuman s/o Shyamkesho, Ningthoujam Imocha s/o Pasot of Tumukhong Awang Leikai and Irengbam Rosan alias Goicha s/o Ibomcha of Khagempalli Ningom Leirak.
Major Hanuman eliminated them to present the same killing as his credentials for winning gallantry award after the trio refused to obey the Major's command.
Now, Nobin's father Shyamkesho is mourning the death of his son with a broken-heart after he handed over his son to the alien forces.
This sad incident may serve as a timely eye-opener for all those parents who have been working to hand over their deserter sons to security forces.
All the deserters who have been staying at their homes as well as those who have been serving security forces after surrender would be eliminated by security forces one by one., the outfit alleged.
No force or conspiracy would be able to suppress the liberation movement, it added.
