CCpur, June 02 2017:
One of the two minor siblings who went missing yesterday after they were swept away by a flooding river still remains traceless despite the massive search taken up by philanthropic organisations and Government agencies.
Nevertheless, the State Government has given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the grieving parents today as promised by the Chief Minister, with the promise to give an equal amount as and when the body of the girl who is still missing is traced.
The two siblings were washed away by flood water around 2 pm yesterday.
People who were nearby managed to retrieve the 4 year-old-boy from the water but his sister, who is still in preparatory class and one year junior to him was lost in the undercurrents.
The boy was immediately rushed to the hospital but he could not be revived either.
