Condition improves

The condition of BJP Minority Morcha in-charge Abdus Salam who has been receiving medical treatment after being swept away by water currents while trying to help the people in controlling the flood has improved.
Speaking to media persons at the public hospital at Hatta, Jalal Uddin, president of Bengoon Young Star Club said that Abdus Salam contested election five times from Mayang Imphal A/C and is currently the in-charge of BJP Minority Morcha.
Jalal Uddin pointed out that Abdus Salam was on his way to Imphal from his residence at Mayang Imphal Bengoon when, at around 9.40 am, he received a distress call from the people regarding the worsening flood condition at Uchiwa Wangbal.
He rushed to the spot along with IFCD officials, MLA K Robindro and Mayang Imphal OC to help the people.
He said that during the chaos that ensued at the flooded area, Abdus Salam was swept away by the strong current of the water for about 100 to 200 feet but fortunately survived and had to be rushed to the public hospital at Hatta.
He further pointed out that Abdus was out of danger and that his condition has improved greatly.
