Eight test negative, two suspects in hospital

Samples of 10 people who took part in religious congregation held at Nizamuddin, Delhi in mid-March have been tested for COVID-19 and eight of them have been found negative while the results of the other two are inconclusive.
All the 10 samples were tested at JNIMS and RIMS today.
It is said that the two samples whose result are still unclear would be tested again tomorrow.
The result of the two particular samples are tagged 'indeterminate' .
As such, the particular samples would be tested again tomorrow, informed a source.
Sample of another man who also took part in the Nizamuddin congregation was tested and the result is awaited.
Meanwhile, all the eight individuals whose samples have been tested negative for COVID-19 have been put in a quarantine centre opened at Thoubal.
Another source informed that 11 persons from the State which took part in the Nizamuddin religious congregation have been identified and all their samples have been collected.
A report furnished by the Health Department said that one person showing symptoms of COVID-19 is being treated in a hospital.
Till now, three suspected cases of COVID-19 are being hospitalised while the total number of people whose samples have been tested for the virus has reached 78.It is reported that the Ministry of Health has given detail guideline to the State Government on how to tackle any contingency in case any person from the State who took part in the Nizamuddin congregation tests positve for COVID-19 .
One of the two individuals whose samples are inconclusive belongs to Bishnupur district.
On the other hand, all roads which connect 10 villages of Chandel district with Myanmar have been sealed by the district administration in association with the local villagers so as to prevent transmission of COVID-19 from across the border.
Likewise, it is reported that all roads which connect Kamjong district with Myanmar would be sealed.
