Imphal, July 30 2012:
Two Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders joined BJP right after tendering their resignation to the National President NCP on Monday.
The two NCP leaders who join BJP are Th.Nandakishore Singh, former MLA and ex-treasurer of NCP Manipur and M.Prafullo Singh, present Youth President, NCP Manipur state.
Th.Nandakishore said that he left NCP on account of the internal problems in the party.
The post of President has been dissolved without any reason and a court case has been filed against the newly elected President by the out-going President.
At present, there is no proper party office also, he explained.
Nandakishore said that he took the decision of joining BJP after convincing his advisors and workers in view of the fact that BJP is the only alternative political party in the state, which can ensure stability and fight against the Congress.
.MPrafullo Singh observed that central BJP leaders have been visiting the state quite frequently unlike the leaders of other political parties, and this shows that they are more concern about the people of Manipur.
Mention may be made here that some prominent leaders of other political leaders like Th.Chaoba Singh, former Union minister, S.Rajen Singh, former Minister, Robin Blacky and some candidates in the last Assembly election have already joined BJP.
According to sources in BJP, National President of the party Nitin Gadkari would be visiting Manipur in the mid August for a grand reception of the newly inducted members.
Ahead of Nitin's visit, P.Chandrashekhar Rao, Zonal organisation secretary, NE states BJP would arrive here in first week of August to take a firsthand information and assess the
political situation.
