Ukhrul, August 09, 2012:
Governor Gurbachan Jagat has extended greetings to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmastami.
In his message to the people, the Governor observed that the teachings of Lord Krishna to a bewildered Arjuna on the battlefield in the midst of the Mahabharata to perform 'Karma' (duty), is the essence of truth and will forever remain as a guiding principle for mankind.
'His message explaining the true meaning of 'Karma' will continue to show the path to all human beings, as to how we should react in difficult situations, conditions and circumstances.
'Karma' in simple term, is worshiping work, doing it for its own sake without expecting its rewards/results.
It also signifies total concentration in doing one's best in whatever one does.
Following His teachings, let us all in Manipur perform our duty in our day-to-day life for bringing peace and prosperity in our state", the Governor exhorted.
