MSES celebrates silver jubilee, seeks COHSEM recognition

Morning Star English School, Sapormeina, one of the finest educational institutions in the area celebrated its silver jubilee today at its school campus.
The auspicious occasion was graced by Lamabam Mahendra Singh, Chairman, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) as chief guest on behalf of Education Minister, Th Radheshyam.
Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills, Kaikhosei Lhouvum, Executive Member, ADC Sadar Hills and Chongpu Kipgen, Retd MCS, former Chief Executive Officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi also attended the function.
Apart from other dignitaries, Lunthang Haokip, Member ADC Sadar Hills, Lhingneikim Kipgen, ZEO Kangpokpi, Nengcha Kipgen and Rev Lunlal Kipgen, executive secretary, TBA (I) also attended the auspicious celebration with student community, parents and guardians, village chiefs, local area leaders.
A silver jubilee monolith was unveiled by the chief guest to commemorate the celebration.
Rev Lunlal Kipgen dedicated and invoked blessing prayer for the school while Lhunkhohao Sitlhou, founder Headmaster of the school gave the welcome address.
Thenkhosei Kipgen, founder secretary of Morning Star English School presented brief history of the school while highlighting the school's wish for recognition of Class XI-XII from COHSEM.
The school authority submitted a memorandum for the same to the Chairman, COHSEM.
Addressing the gathering, COHSEM Chairman, Lamabam Mahendra stressed on the important education and the present scenario and changes in the education system.
Encouraging the students to inculcate good discipline and lauding the school authorities and teachers for their earnest efforts, he gave positive response to the memorandum of the school regarding recognition of Class XI-XII.
ADC Sadar Hills Chairman and other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion.
The speakers at the event motivated the students and urged them to work hard with dedication.
Kuki prominent Gospel artiste Wycliffe Lunneo, Vavah Kipgen and Hencha Sitlhou also enthralled the crowd with their melodious voice during the celebration.
