PMGKAY rice distributed in Kumbi AC

With a view to ease the shortage of ration to the residents of Kumbi Assembly Constituency, its MLA, S Bira has started distributing rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana and Open Market Sale Scheme at Wangoo Terakhong Makha community hall today.
Residents above 5 years of age living within the jurisdiction of the AC will be receiving 5 kg of rice per head under the scheme.
1611.65 quintal of rice allocated by the Government and an additional 440.9 quintal of rice procured through MLA Local Area Development Fund has been released through the respective representative of local bodies, the MLA said.
He also appealed all concerned to cooperate to ensure that the rice reach to the respective beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, Takhellabam Helena, Community Officer of Health and Wellness Centre Phubala has also assisted all persons at Phubala Ward No 1 and 4 by delivering medicines at their respective homes apart from distributing self-prepared masks and edibles.
Distribution of rice under PMGKAY was also started at Ward No 7 and 10 under Sagolband Assembly Constituency today with the assistance of Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) .
A press statement issued by MLA of the AC, RK Imo stated that rice quota for the AC and an additional 500 quintal procured from MLALAD Fund to the tune of Rs 12 lakh, have been delivered to respective localities for distribution to the beneficiaries.
He also urged beneficiaries to contact SCPC, its locality committees and agents in case if they missed their due quota (5 kg per individuals above 5 years of age) .
JIRIBAM: In all, 844 quintals of Rice was lifted from FCI Godowns in Jiribam by Open Market Sale Scheme (OMSS) for free distribution to beneficiaries including migrant workers and people living on rented accommodations in Jiribam Assembly Constituency.
OMSS procured the rice through Jiribam AC MLA Local Area Development Fund and will be distributed to the people of Jiribam by maintaining social distance at 36 specific locations with the assistance of representatives of MLA, local clubs, and elected members of local bodies.
