Continuing with his humanitarian service in the midst of the country-wide lockdown, Nishikant Singh Sapam, proprietor of The Sangai Express, distributed relief items to 45 economically under-privileged families today.
Notably, The Sangai Express, under corporate social responsibility programme, has been providing incentives to sports persons, remuneration to tourist guides of Keibul Lamjao National Park, sponsoring feeds for Sangais kept at Langol in addition to organising youth conclaves at regular interval.

Taking serious note of the crippling impacts of the protracted lockdown compelled by the COVID-19 pandemic particularly among economically weaker sections, Nishikant Singh Sapam today distributed relief items to 45 families who have limited sources of income.
At a simple function held at the premises of the Social Welfare Club, Kwakeithel Nganappi Khong Mapal this morning, Nishikant Singh Sapam provided relief materials to 22 worst hit families of the locality.
The Sangai Express proprietor provided similar relief materials to 22 other families at another function held at the premises of Youth Integration Club, Keishamtong Maning Longjam Leikai.
Speaking at the functions, Nishikant Singh Sapam said that the relief materials were provided to ease the suffering of people worst hit by the lockdown.
Saying that he would continue to provide relief items in future too, he appealed to all the people to come out and help fellow mankind.
Altogether 25 Kgs of rice, one Kg of dal, one Kg of onion, two Kgs of cabbage, one half litre bottle of cooking oil, one soap cake and one packet of common salt were distributed to each of the 44 families.
The Sangai Express (Manipuri) Editor Khogendra Khomdram too donated relief materials to another family of Palace Compound who have limited sources of income.
Meanwhile, Social Welfare Club, Kwakeithel Nganappi Khong Mapal has conveyed profound gratitude to The Sangai Express proprietor Nishikant Singh Sapam for his humanitarian service towards economically weaker sections in this hour of misery.
