Flood situation at Bishnupur district

The Central team led by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Joint Secretary Prakash who have been assessing the State's flood situation visited flood affected areas of Bishnupur district as well as Kotlen area of Imphal-Jiribam highway where a portion of the highway sank sometime back .
After visiting several flooded areas in Bishnupur district, the team interacted with people taking shelter at the relief camp opened inside the premises of Nambol Higher Secondary School .
The team also visited Oinam, Ningthoukhong and Moirang where they made field assessment of inundated paddy fields and fish farms .
The Central team then visited Ithing and Thanga where landslides ravaged some houses .
The team led by MHA Joint Secretary (administration) Prakash included Director (Agri) Dr K Manoharan, BK Mishra, Sachin Kumar Gautam and Rama Krishnan .
They were accompanied by Manipur State Disaster Management Authority Vice-Chairman Adim Pamei, Principal Secretary (R&DM) MH Khan, Bishnupur DC Bobby Waikhom, SDO Nambol Ch Bobo, SDO Bishnupur Dr Suraj and SDO Moirang Lokeshore.
