UADC Chairman visits mega Health camp at Ukhrul

Ukhrul Autonomous District Council (UADC) Chairman Dickson Kumrah along with his executive members today visited the ongoing two days Mega Health camp organized by All Tangkhul Medico's Association (ATMA) in collaboration with Leishiphung Christian Hospital (LCH) at Meizailung, Ukhrul while an interactive session was also held with the visiting doctors.
During the interactive session, the team of doctor highlighted about their intentions and willingness to serve the people of the Ukhrul district to improve the standard of health while educating them on how to live a healthy life.
Doctors of ATMA said that the main objective of ATMA is to reach out basic health services by conducting regular surgery and medical camp in the remote areas where the people are unable to pay medical expenses for treatment.
After hearing and knowing their enthusiasm for the well-being of the society in general and for the people of Ukhrul district in particular Dickson Kumrah assured them to extend all possible assistance from ADC, Ukhrul while giving consent to use the ambulance and other vehicle of ADC medical department in case of any emergency services.
UADC chairman also extends his gratitude on behalf of ADC, Ukhrul for their noble services while acknowledging that it is a serious issue that the district hospital which is giving 24X7 services cannot perform major operation and cannot look after serious cases owing to shortage of specialist doctors in the midst of increasing demand from the public for better health facilities and services.
Later, the UADC chairman Dickson Kumrah visited the landslide area on the eastern side of Ukhrul to take up necessary work for immediate restoration of the road that connect Northern villages of Ukhrul.
