AR joins Swacch Bharat Mission

Taking forward the initiative of clean India Campaign, 6 DOGRA of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) in its endeavour to connect the remotest region of Manipur to the mainstream part of India, organised 'Swachh Bharat Mission' for the border villages of Molcham, Tidam, Khengjang and T Nampao.
The CO of 6th DOGRA distributed toilet seats and accessories to the villagers, reiterating the importance of health and hygiene in our daily life.
The steps taken up by AR is to ensure creation of toilets in these remote border villages thereby preventing people from defecating in open.
In another endeavour, a save energy awareness drive was carried out by 32 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) today.
During the drive, locals of Joupi village were educated about saving electricity by using low power consuming appliances like CFL bulbs, tube lights, LED lights etc in place of incandescent bulbs.
Later the unit changed all the incandescent light bulbs and replaced them with CFL bulbs in all houses of Joupi.
