27 fresh cases detected, 13 discharged

Imphal, July 10 2022:
The state on Sunday reported 27 new positive eases of Covid-19 from seven districts, out of 307 samples tested in the last 24 hours and registered 7.58 per cent positivity rate.
The 27 fresh cases (19 male & 8 female) are residents of Imphal West (13), Imphal East (7), Bishnupur (3), Thoubal (1), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1) and Chandel (1) districts.
Sunday also reported 13 recoveries from home isolation whereas no death case was reported in the last 24 hours.
Number of active cases rose to 144, out of which, 121 (84.03 per cent) are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPE personnel and infected 1,37,439 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed the lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccines.
There are 14 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 47 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 194 positive cases since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 169 new positive cases.
The cumulative positivity rate for the current month is 8.07 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 82 D-type and 3 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 369 vaccine doses administered on Saturday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,98,012, including 12,66,511 who had received second doses and 1,19,772 administered the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by TPC based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,854), Imphal East (30,500), Thoubal (10,168), Churachandpur (11,060), Kangpokpi (3137), Tamenglong (3479), Bishnupur (9852), Senapati (2495), Ukhrul (3282), Kakching (6903), Chandel (2733), Noney (1161), Tengnoupal (1202), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1037) and Pherzawl (465).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,292 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,998 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,21,039 tests per million population against the national average of 6,15,776 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and the recovery rate came down to 98.35 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
