Nemcha Kipgen reviews key WCD schemes

Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen today chaired a review meeting of Social Welfare Department in collaboration with Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD), Dr Rajesh Kumar.
While addressing the gathering, Minister Nemcha urged all the officials and staffpresent at the meeting to contribute positive ideas to boost the Department to efficiently implement various schemes and programmes for the welfare of all the beneficiaries.
During the review meeting, various important schemes under the Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) were highlighted and discussed thoroughly.
Some of the topics discussed through a series of slides include ICDS Schemes, Wheat Based Nutrition Programme (WBNP), ICDS Training including E-leaming job training courses for CDPOs, Supervisors and AWWs, Pradhan Mantri Mantru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Scheme for Adolescent Girls (SAG), National Creche Scheme (NCS), Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), One Stop Centre (OSC), Universalization of Women Helpline (181) scheme and Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) .
The meeting also highlighted the importance for timely Aadhaar enrolment of children and resolved that Aadhaar Enrolment camps should be organised at least twice a year in every Anganwadi centre to ensure that every new child beneficiary joining AWC has Aadhaar.
The meeting was held at the conference hall of Old Secretariat.
