Employees of the Kangla Food Products under the aegis of Kangla Food Products Workers' Union today stop production work and staged a sit in protest at the head office of KFP at Nambol CHingmang against the restriction imposed by the UG group KCP (MTF) on KFP's proprietor Akham Birendro.
Ahongsangbam Jiten, general secretary TRUGPU who was participating in the protest said that proprietor of KFP, Birendro is a kind hearted person who works for the development of sports in the state.
He is also the vice president of TRUGPU.
He appealed to KCP (MTF) to bring a solution to the impasse at the earliest and relieved the burden facing by the poor workers who are earning their breads by working in the industry.
A woman said that she has been able to share the burden of her household expenditure since she started working in the industry from its inception.

Birendro is helping the workers to earn their daily breads by not tagging in machines which will do the jobs they are doing in a more attractive and inexpensive way.
She said that the news report published in local newspapers on May 4 about the restriction on KFP shocked the 150 workers being employed in the industry.
She appealed to KCP (MTF) to take pity on the poor workers of the industry and reconsider its decision and lift up the restriction on the ground of humanity.
An agent of KFP said that the products of KFP are playing an important role in economic development in the state.
While imported items are flooding the state day by day, KFP is facing the incoming floods of threats of imported products and largely promoting our own products in the state.
KFP is not making any huge profits from its products with 150 workers engaged to bring out its products in the market.
Every people of the state should extend their cooperation at this crucial time and support Birendra and KFP.
He also appealed to the UG group to lift the restriction and extend their cooperation in promoting KFP and its tradition products.
