While condemning the incident, the NSCN-IM in a separate statement has also stated that it will not remain a mere spectator of such attempts to sabotage the reconciliation process but react effectively without any reservation.
It will be compelled to exercise force if their commitment towards peace of the Nagas and reconciliation is challenged.
It may be recalled that, on 9th October, 2012 the Joint Working Group (JWG) formed under the banner of the FNR has agreed upon to maintain a status quo by all signatories of the JWG to cease all offensive or further operations against each other.
The activities and movement of the respective government cadres should remain confined to their own respective jurisdiction and territory.
