Governor's granddaughter helps floating school

Imphal, February 23 2017:
Governor Dr Najma Heptulla along with her daughter Dr Rubina Heptulla and granddaughter Nadia Naeem today visited Sendra in Bishnupur district to attend an interaction programme with the students and guardians of the Loktak Floating Elementary school.
Expressing happiness, Nadia Naeem said she came to Manipur as her grandmother is the Governor of Manipur.
She said it was in fact Loktak Floating Elementary School that fascinated her to come here and extend assistance to the people who reside in and around the lake.
Nadia distributed school bags, pouches and other stationery items to the students along with monetary aid to meet the students' requirement.
Governor Najma Heptulla said her granddaughter is also planning to further help the school on monthly basis.
Bishnupur DC M Harekrishna, Secretary to the Governor Th Chittaranjan and SSA Programme Officer were also part of the visiting team.
The interaction program was organised by SSA District Programme Officer, People's Resource Development Association, Manipur and All Loktak Lake Areas Fishermen's Union, Manipur.
