Imphal, February 23 2017:
In his efforts to woo the voters of Manipur, Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain highlighted various achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Even though it has been just about two years and a half since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India, corruption has become a thing of the past, claimed Rajen Gohain.
He was speaking at a flag hoisting ceremony of BJP candidate in Thongju AC Thongam Biswajit held today at the latter's Ningomthong residence.
He went on to assert that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has delivered good governance across the country.
On the other hand, the Congress Government of Manipur did nothing beneficial for the people during the past 15 years except fomenting communal hatred and indulging in corruption.
He also accused the Congress Govt of misleading the masses regarding the Framework Agreement.
While they themselves are unable to clear or get the economic blockade lifted, the Congress Government has been blaming the Central Government.
After the Look East Policy has been transformed as Act East Policy, the Central Government has been working to develop Moreh and Imphal as highly strategic business centres.
He went to exude confidence that BJP would score a landslide victory in the ensuing election and certainly form the next Government.
He then appealed to the people of Thongju AC to support Biswajit in the ensuing election.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda, former Chief Minister Radhabinod Koijam, BJP Manipur Pradesh former president M Bhorot, former Minister S Brajagopal Sharma and BJP Vision Document convenor Dr RK Ranjan were also present at the flag hoisting ceremony.
