Demanding details of FA effigies burnt

Imphal, February 23 2017:
Effigies of the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Muivah were burnt in protest all over the State today, as the Campaign for Protection of Historical and Political Identity of Manipur entered its eight day.
Students of Leishemba Maheikol, P Namjoklung High School, Success School and Sawombung High School organised a rally at Sawombung, Imphal East and burnt effigies of the PM, CM and the NSCN (IM) leaders as a protest.

AMSU volunteers and women vendors also burnt effigies at Lamlong Bazar and Konung Mamang as a sign of protest and shouted slogans demanding disclosure of the Framework Agreement and burnt effigies of the PM, CM and Muivah while shouting 'Long live Manipur' .
Similar protests were also held at Singjamei Bazar and Kwakeithel bazar by the women vendors and AMSU volunteers.
They shouted slogans like 'Long live Manipur', 'Manipur gi apunbagi saktam kaiba yaroi' and 'NSCN (IM) na Manipur thugaiba yaroi', before burning the effigies of the PM, CM and Muivah.
AMSU Thoubal district committee and AMSU Jiribam district committee also carried out similar protest including burning of effigies at Thoubal and Jiribam respectively.
