Imphal, July 20 2009:
The Pioneer Club and Meira Paibis of Uchathol, Jiribam have strongly denounced the failure of the PWD to repair the dilapidated condition of the road stretch from Gularthol and Uchathol Karong covering just a distance of 1.5 km, reports our Jiribam correspondent.
In a joint statement, Club secretary O Maipak has set July 30 as the deadline to repair the said road stretch and warned to face the wrath of the people in case of failure to repair the road.
He also categorically stated that the Government should be responsible for any untoward incident that may occur during the course of the agitation to be launched if the PWD fails to repair the road within the given deadline.
