The 11 year-old girl allegedly detained by the security force with reported demand of surrendering her father released late last night but hospitalized after she fainted.
A joint team of Child Welfare Committee Thoubal, Child Line Imphal and Social Welfare Department who paid a visit to the house of the girl at Nongmaikhong with some media persons found the girl weeping with "Yamna kire, yamna wai" and fainting frequently.
Villagers said that the girl, Salam Bidyarani daughter of Dewan estimated that the girl was released by the security forces after the villagers who formed a JAC warned of launching agitation of the child is not released by today.
The girl was at the Mayang Imphal police station after she refused to drop her at home.
But she was handed over along with two village women who accompany her yesterday evening at about 6 pm.
Inconvenient of reaching Nongmaikhong in the dusk, the child along with the two women stayed at a house of a relative at Phabankchao last night and reached Nongmaikhong this afternoon at about 2.30 pm.
When the child in normal some movement, she told reporters that she was not beaten up, but did not allowed to back home.
They (police) told her that she will not be allowed to go back home till her parents surrender.
She was kept at a room housing by the women home guard personnel and prevented from going out from the room.
Reporters entered to the house of the Dewan, the house was in a proper shape of being a dwelling house.
Many pitch digging out for searching weapons were found inside the rooms of the house.
Bed sheets, clothes and other materials of the house were found scattered.
Meanwhile, after the girl fainted, villagers have brought up her at RIMS hospital.
