Imphal, August 18:
Following a complaint lodged by one N Ingocha of Wahengbam Leikai, Consumers' Club Manipur fined M/s Poky Bakefood Industries, Babupara to Rs 500 and also asked to refund the price of a bread.
According to a press release of the Club, Ingocha found glass pieces and stone chips inside a bread, bought from the industry.
Consumers' Club also exhorted such factories/industries to maintain quality and print manufacturing date, ingredients, quantity and net weight of the product.
The Club will also conduct a field visit to these factories with the help of Government officials, added the release.
