UNLF, KYKL lift restriction from Heirok people

Imphal, July 12 2011:
The proscribed UG groups UNLF and KYKL today lifted its restriction imposed over the people of Heirok village which stopped them from going out of their village.
In a joint press statement of the two UG groups signed Namoijam Oken, General Secretary of KYKL and Narengbam Thabal, General Secretary of UNLF stated that the restriction from Heirok people has been lifted considering their freedom and liberty as a human being and forgiving their mistakes taking them to be their own brethren.
It further stated that SPOs in Chattisgarh have been sacked off their weapon by a Supreme Court ruling which terms arming of SPOs to counter Maoists as unconstitutional.
However in Manipur state government and the India government are instigating the innocent people of the state by recruiting them as VDF and using them in counter insurgency operations, alleged the statement.
