Imphal, March 05 2016 :
Imphal Municipal Corporation (IMC) has invited inputs and suggestions from the people in order to improve/upgrade the earlier proposal submitted on how to make Imphal a smart City without participating in the second phase of Smart City Challenge as true improvement can only be achieved with the valuable support, co-operation, suggestions and ideas of the citizens and stakeholders of Manipur in general and Imphal in particular.
As per the directions received from the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, an upgraded Smart City proposal needs to be submitted before April 15, taking into consideration the inputs received from the citizens and stakeholders within the broad framework of observations made available by the panel of experts who have evaluated the plan.
Imphal is one of the 23rd fast track cities which are given an opportunity to upgrade/improve the earlier Smart City proposal and if it reaches the minimum benchmark score, then it will be selected for funding without participation in the second phase of Smart City Challenge.
