JAC decries police 'inaction'

The JAC constituted against the killing of school Headmaster Hasmat Ali alias Babu has decried the failure of State police to pull up any of those people involved in the killing.
A public meeting was held held today at Keirao Makting Youth Club ground under the aegis of the JAC and the gathering adopted a number of resolutions.
The meeting rejected the allegation of the school Headmaster attempting to steal a calf.
The JAC decried that police have not pulled up anyone involved in the killing although cow owner Kh Brojen has named three accused.
The meeting urged youth clubs and Meira Paibis of Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai and Ucheckon areas to spell out their positions on the issue of killing Hasmat Ali through media.
If any individual of Keirao area is involved in the killing, he would be banished from the locality and his homestead would be converted into graveyard of late Hasmat Ali, resolved the meeting.
House of one Md Amu who is a neighbour of Hasmat Ali was burnt down yesterday on the charge that he was involved in the killing.
