NPF MLAs, ADC Members back from New Delhi

After being elected as ADC Members and coming to power in Senapati, Ukhrul and Tamenglong, NPF ADC Members reached out to New Delhi to meet Central leaders on many issues.
Returning from the 15 days trip, ADC sources informed that the team consisting of MLAs, ADC Members and Manipur NPF functionaries met Union Ministers, Indo-Naga interlocutor RN Ravi and Secretaries of different Union Departments.
Issues related to ADC in Manipur and lack of fund was discussed with the leaders during the visit.
According to sources, the team met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, MoS-Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju and MoS for DoNER Jitendra Singh and MoS for Rural Development Sudarshan Bhagat.
During the meeting with Union leaders, the NPF elected members welcomed and supported the historic "Naga Peace Accord" and urged the Centre to expedite the final conclusion of the peace accord in the greater interest of the Nagas.
The team also reportedly lamented the lack of funds for ADCs in Manipur and its serious impact on development of tribal areas in the State.
Tribal issues relevant to Manipur were also highlighted to the Union Ministers, it added.
The Central leaders assured to consider the issues related to the ADCs in Manipur and noted the grievances of the Naga elected members.
It also added that, during the trip, the NPF team also met many officials including Secretaries of DoNER, Rural Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Tribal Welfare and Special Secretary, Finance.
The NPF elected members included MLA Dikho, MLA Nunghlung Victor, NPF Manipur leaders, 9 NPF ADC leaders from Senapati, 1 from Sadar Hills, 3 from Chandel, 2 from Ukhrul and 5 from Tamenglong district.
