Source: The Sangai Express
Jiribam, November 03 2015:
Normal life was hardly affected by the 28 hr total bandh called by Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) against the failure of the Government to declare Jiribam as a full fledged revenue district despite signing a memorandum in 2011 between representatives of the State Government and Jiribam District Demand Committee.
All the business establishments, shops, markets were closed in Jiribam in response to the bandh.
Passenger vehicles, autorishaws were off the road but some private vehicles were seen plying on emergency.
