Leave aside narrow politics, serve people in best way possible: L Jayantakumar

Saying that the main objective of politics and a Government is to serve the people the best, Health Minister L Jayantakumar stated that the time to time Government should cater the needs of the public regardless of the political parties ruling the State or Country.
"All politicians in the State should leave aside narrow politics and serve the people in the best way possible," he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest in the main function of the launching programme of Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs, Komlathabi, Leingangching and Unopat at Thoma Memorial Hall, Kapaam (Komlathabi) today.
Asserting that participation of two NPP Ministers, and a Congress MLA in the launching programme of the HWCs have form a suitable composition, Jayantakumar stated that people of the State cannot be made to bear the brunt of hindrances in developmental works.
All the politicians should leave aside narrow politics and think for the betterment of the people and work together for bringing development in the State he added.
Stressing on the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Minister maintained that the scheme is a brainchild of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which draw from the rhetoric concept of "Ayushman Bhava", meaning long live.
The scheme aims on making every citizen, particularly the poor and vulnerable group healthy and wellbeing and it contains a huge package of monetary assistance which has the ceiling upto Rs 5 lakh.
There is no need of obtaining any card by the applicants of Ayushman Bharat scheme unlike the Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang (CMHT).
However, the beneficiaries must be registered in the Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) and identified as the status required for applying the said scheme, he informed adding that all the treatment charges in either private or Government hospitals for the type of illness covered by the scheme, will be borne by the Government apart from giving medicines at free of cost.
He also asked the doctors, nurses and staff of the health and wellness centres to treat patients with love and affection while pointing out that the way they treat the patients matters a lot in maintaining trust and good relationship between hospital authorities and patients' party in establishing effective health care services.
Jayantakumar assured that he will provide ambulance and oxygen cylinders at PHC, Komlathabi if the authorities concerned formally approach him through the right channel.
YAS Minister Letpao Haokip while delivering presidential speech at the function conveyed that MoS (Independent Charge), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore had accepted his proposal of creating simple multipurpose play field in block level in the State.
He asked all concerned authorities to identify appropriate places for the same.
Underscoring the importance of maintaining proper diet and food habit besides doing proper exercise citing an assertion that man will eat medicine as food if they do not eat food as medicine, he opined that sport is much important in making the society healthy.
He urged all youths and students to engage in games and sports.
He also asked all to involve in all the social issues with positive thinking while pointing out that the State is passing through an imbroglio relating to law and order borne of multiple issues.
Tengnoupal AC MLA D Korungthang who also attended as a guest of honour noted that the functioning part of Ayushman Bharat is most important in the proper implementation of the said scheme.
He appealed the authorities concerned to frequently visit the health and wellness centres to ensure that they (the centres) render effective service to the public.
Many other key-posts holders in various departments of the State also attended the function.
