Breaking the Silence to start campaign in Nigeria from June

Breaking the Silence, a multiple award winning global campaign to end myths, taboos and stigma around mensuration and functional in 11 States in India, has launched its campaign today on the occasion of International Women's Day.
The theme for this year's campaign is "Advocacy and Governance".
Breaking the Silence has partnered with Star of Hope Transformation Centre and Turn Trash to Treasure (TTTT), which works on women empowerment, livelihood and address domestic violence, to begin its work in Nigeria starting from the month of June.
Founder of Breaking the Silence, Urmila Chanam said that all the related trainings and informations will be diffused to the Nigerian public using English language and Yoruba, the local language of Nigeria.
"E maa dake, E soro sita, Eje nkan oshu kii saimo" means break the silence, menstrual blood is not impure, she said.
Olustosin Oladosu Adebowale, founder of Star of Hope Transformation Centre is a long time friend, advisor and supporter of Breaking the Silence and this partnership marks global sisterhood, she said.
