District Hospital Thoubal, Churachandpur bag Kayakalp State Level Award

National Health Mission, Manipur organised Kayakalp Award distribution ceremony at JNIMS Auditorium, Porompat today.
District Hospital Thoubal and DH Churachandpur won the State level award in district hospital category while CHC Wangoi and CHC Mao won the State level award in the category- SDH/CHC.
The State level award in district hospital category carries Rs 25 lakh and citation and the SDH/CHC award carries Rs 10.75 lakh and citation.
The District Level Award (PHC) which carries cash award of Rs 2 lakh was awarded to Thanga PHC, Bishnupur, Beihang PHC, Churachandpur, Andro PHC, Imphal East, Khurkhul PHC, Imphal West, Tadubi PHC, Senapati, Saikul PHC, Kangpokpi, Khoupum PHC, Noney, Wangjing PHC, Thoubal, Wangoo Laipham PHC, Kakching, Jessami PHC, Ukhrul, Phungyar PHC, Kamjong and Komlathabi PHC, Chandel.
Commendation Award of Rs 3 lakh was given to District Hospital Bishnupur and DH Senapati.
Commendation Awards of Rs 1 lakh was awarded to CHC Yairipok, Thoubal while Commendation Award which carries Rs 50,000 was awarded to Kumbi PHC, Leimapokpam PHC, Oinam PHC, Bashikhong PHC, Mayang Imphal PHC, Mekola PHC, Samurou PHC, Maram PHC, Laii PHC, Paomata PHC, Kalapahar PHC, Noney PHC, Nongpok Sekmai PHC, Hiyanglam PHC, Pallel PHC, Mantri Pukhri UPHC, Kshetrigao UHC and UPHC Langol Tarung.
The event was graced by Health and Family Welfare Minister, L Jayantakumar Singh; Social Welfare Minister, Nemcha Kipgen; Wangoi AC MLA, Oinam Lukhoi; Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, V Vumlunmang (IAS); State Mission Director, NHM, Manipur, S Manikanta Singh; Director, Health Services and Family Welfare, Dr K Rajo Singh and Director, JNIMS, Prof Th Bhimo Singh as the presidium members.
Speaking as the chief guest of the event, L Jayantakumar Singh said that Kayakalp award distribution was organised under NHM, Manipur with an aim to promote the idea of cleanliness among hospitals in the State.
The doctors, nurses and all staffs have major roles to play in maintaining cleanliness in their respective hospitals, the Minister said and added that Swacch Bharat Mission was implemented in the country for the same cause.
He also pointed out that many health centres in the State still lack both manpower and infrastructures owing to the financial constraint faced by the State Government.
Appealing all to dispose the habit of consulting MLAs, Ministers or officials of higher ranks for transfer and posting for their convenience, he advised the health professionals to work with dignity for the welfare of the people.
