Summer camp concludes

Imphal, July 05 2011:
The closing function of the 4th Summer Camp 2011 was organised today by Soraren Repertory Theatre, Imphal at MDU Hall, Yaiskul Police Lane, Imphal.
Naba Wareppa, president Theatre Centre Manipur and Padmashree G Gourakishore, Director Huyen Lallong Manipur Thang-Ta Cultural Association graced the function as chief guest and president respectively.
Dr Lamabam Gojendra, Director Children's Cultural Centre Manipur and Laishram Robindro, Headmaster Manipur Standard English School also attended as guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion Naba Wareppa said that formal education and non-formal education are necessary for a person to become a complete person.
Children are young minds and they are needed to be provided cultural education so the essence of culture could be infused into their minds with an aim to make them social and well culture minded people in future and as a result of this philosophical perspective they can bring a good civilization in future, he added.
Mention may be made that Soraren's 4th Summer Camp was carried out from the 17th June to 26th June 2011 at Manipur Standard English School organised by Soraren Repertory Theatre, Imphal.
Later a mime play named 'Victim' designed and directed by L Styajit (Bir Ksngsa) was also screened as part of the function.
