NE India-Myanmar Business & Education Conclave concludes

Education, Labour & Employment Minister Thokchom Radhehsyam said that business and education go along together.
Education is all about collaboration, communicating, developed analytical thinking, which are also the soul of business, he said.
The Minister was speaking at the valedictory function of two-day NE India-Myanmar Business and Education Conclave 2019 at Classic Grande, Imphal.
The function was jointly organized by Manipur University, National Institute of Technology, Manipur and All Manipur Entrepreneurs' Association, Manipur.
Explaining the need for connectivity, collaboration and engaging with one another with better understanding for a successful business enterprise, he said that it is important that business and education go together.
Rector, Myanmar University of Economics Prof Soe Win emphasized on the importance of collaboration between the two universities to bring development in the region and said more collaborations like student exchanges and research collaborations can also be taken up.
The Professor said through these collaborations, important research can be carried out to solve the problems and issues in the region in order to promote trade.
He also expressed that due to the proximity of the two regions, "we can see a lot of similarities in the cultures and languages of the regions".
A brief report of the conclave was also presented by Director MIMS, Manipur University, Professor, Ch Ibohal Meitei.
Commissioner Education (Higher & Tech) Kh Raghumani, Commissioner Education (S) T Ranjit, Registrar, Manipur University, Prof W Chandbabu Singh, Member, National Education Policy Commission, Myanmar, Prof Maung Maung Aye, Member UGC New Delhi, India Dr Kiran Hazarika, Director, NIT Manipur, India Prof Dr Goutam Sutradhar, businessmen, Professors and students attended the function.
