Capitol project to be completed by June

Imphal, May 12 2011:
The construction work of the Capitol Project which began from January 2006 under Prime Minister Package is assumed to be completed by the end of June this year.
State Cm O Ibobi today evening inspected the progress of the construction personally along with Speaker I Hemochandra, Works Minister K Ranjit, Deputy Chairman, State Planning Board, Bijoy Koijam, Chief Engineer PWD and other top government officials.
Ibobi also inspected the model of table and chair which is to be installed inside the assembly hall for its members and expressed his discontent asking for other models.
The project which is constructed with a total cost of Rs 161.60 crore will have a spacious assembly hall, a speaker secretariat and residential quarters of MLAs at the northern side near the foothill.
Speaking to the reporters, Works Ministers, K Ranjit said that he himself is inspecting the progress of the work the whole day and night.
Although only 60 seats will be installed inside the assembly hall, the hall is made to contain at least 150 seats for future use.
