Nemcha Kipgen prays for peace

Kangpokpi, December 05 2019:
Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA) Scheme for prevention of alcoholism and substances abuse and social defence services under Ujjawala, Ministry of Women and Child Development was inaugurated today during an Advent Christmas celebration at Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre at Shalom Veng, Kangpokpi DHQs.
The De-Addiction Centre constructed by an NGO, Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre was inaugurated by Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen and it was dedicated by Rev Thangsat Kipgen while a PA system for the centre was inaugurated and dedicated by Rev Thangboi David, vice chairman, Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship.
Speaking at the Advent Christmas celebration and inaugural occasion, Nemcha Kipgen said that Ujjawala is a comprehensive scheme for prevention of trafficking and rescue, rehabilitation and re-integration of victims of human trafficking.
She also said that Swadhar Greh Scheme will also be implemented at the centre following the opening of One Stop Centres at the District Headquarters.
The scheme will enable victims of human trafficking to regain their emotional strength, apart from providing them legal aid and guidance for readjustment in family/society.
The Minister appreciated the founder of Shalom Prayer and Healing Centre, Rev Thangsat Kipgen and his wife Chinneilhing Kipgen for their dedication, simplicity and commitment towards God and promotion of humanity and healing through prayer.
Rev Lamkeng Lhouvum, Pastor, KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi also prayed for the proper functioning of the newly inaugurated centre.
