Teachers Day celebrated widely

Teachers Day was widely celebrated across Kangpokpi district with student community from various educational institutions paying their respect and honour to their respective teachers.
HM Higher Secondary School, Keithelmanbi celebrated its 29th Teachers Day cum Fresher's Meet, 2019 at Janglallen Hall inside its school campus with Dehlam Lhouvum, Chairman, Keithelmanbi Village Authority as chief guest.
HM Award (for teachers) instituted by the school founder S Singsit and his wife in 1990 in memory of their beloved father (L) Helthang Singsit and mother (L) Hatjakim Singsit was awarded to Lalboi Singsit, Thadou-Kuki Lecturer and Haojangul Lhouvum, English Lecturer.

Tonglen Singson Award (Chemistry) was awarded to Kimngaiching Kipgen and Jangneivah Misao and HM Award to school topper was awarded to Hensanglen Sitlhou while HM (KJ) Award to students who passed HSLC and HSE with letter mark was awarded to Vahboikim Chongloi (HSLC) and Vahjemhoi Singson (HSE) .
Lenminsei Hangshing (Nur-KG), Hensanglen Sitlhou (I-IV), Neinunchong Lhoujem (V-VIII) and Kimngaiching Kipgen (IX-XII) were awarded HM Scholarship (free admission) while thirteen students were awarded KJ Award (excellent attendance).
Students thanked their teachers with gifts at the event and presented various cultural dances, fashion show and talent show and dances.
73 freshers were also introduced and felicitated.
Diamond English High School, Lighthouse, JN Public School also celebrated Teacher's Day.
Senapati: Teachers Day was observed at Bethany Hr Sec School, Rikhumai Taphou, Senapati where all the teachers of the school were honoured with gifts and presentations.
Principal, D Riveine encouraged both teachers and students to work with dedication and achieve various milestones.
D Riveine also paid tribute to her late father, BV Dani, the founding Principal of the school for being her first teacher.
She extended appreciation to all her staff for their commitment and unity.
Traditional show, fancy dress show, contemporary dance, choreography and songs etc were showcased.
Tengnoupal: St George High School students celebrated 131st Teachers Day at the school today.
Students of the school presented different cultural and entertainment events.
Principal Rev Fr Lourdhusamy encouraged teachers with simple gifts of appreciation.
