Imphal, April 22 2012:
Slamming the State Government for its inability to amicably solve the boundary dispute between Jessami and Melouri villages which has upsurged now and then, National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO) has questioned the State Government's promises for the protection of the State's integrity by replacing the IRB personnel with VDFs along the boundary.
In a statement, NIPCO said the silence maintained by the State Government on the encroachment of its territory by the neighbouring Nagaland's villagers is a shame.
Hailing the spirit of the Jessami villagers in protecting the state's boundary, the statement urged the Government of Nagaland and Manipur to bring an end to the problem for once and all.
