KSO condemns attacks

The Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Chandel district has strongly condemned the assault of Naga Students' Union Chandel (NSUC) president and the IED blast which recently occurred at Sita Lamkhai near Tengnoupal.
In a statement, KSO Chandel urged the general public to understand that leaders of civil society organizations are the real leaders, who voluntarily sacrifice themselves for the cause of society.
The organisation also urged the people of the district to condemn the incident.
On the other hand, KSO Chandel also decried the IED blast which recently occurred at Sita Lamkhai near Tengnoupal village.
Urging the group, which triggered the blast, to clarify on the incident at the earliest, the statement said that a team comprising KSO Chandel representatives and media persons rushed to the village after hearing about the incident.
They met the village chief, Village Authority members and the police station OC and collected relevant information from there, the statement added.
The organisation also decried 24 Assam Rifles for creating fear psychosis among the villagers by conducting a search operation and forcibly taking the signature of the village secretary.
