Annual prize distribution program held

The annual prize distribution cum evaluation on academic retrospect 2014 of Emmanuel Hr Sec School, Yaingangpokpi, the first higher secondary school under Lamlai AC of Imphal East district was held yesterday at the academy's premises.
Land donor for the institute N Borni Devi; adviser of the Academy L Rameshchandra; pradhan of Tellou Chana Seijang GP L Dinesh; retired Dy Secy (Academic) of BSEM, S Mangi; Principal of the Academy Dr O Ibomcha and Principal of high school section of the Academy, Ng Sarat; secretary (organisation) of All Manipur Students Guardians' Association, S Gumati and chairman of Yaingangpokpi VDC, S Tomba attended the programme as the presidium members.

Results of the school's seasonal exams 2014 were announced during the programme besides releasing a booklet.
Top ten rank holders of each class were presented cash incentive award.
Meritorious students of the Academy who passed the HSLC exam 2014 in first division and letter marks scorers were also honoured during the programme.
Besides, the best attendance, best co-scholastic, best boarder awards were also presented to selected students.
Teachers who served at the school for more than ten years were also honoured.
Our Correspondent reports from Thoubal: Parents meet of Slopeland Public School cum felicitation programme of boxer Laishram Sarita was held today at the school premises located at Salt village.
Adviser of Slopeland Public School and former Minister Dr M Nara; founder Principal of the school, N Babulin Meitei; Chairman of the school Y Thambou; boxer L Sarita and Kh Nilbir, parents' representative were seated on the dais.
Lauding the contribution of the school, L Sarita exuded confidence that the school would continue to bring good name to the State.
Sarita also said that she is eyeing a Gold in the coming 2016 Olympic.
She also solicited the support and blessings of the public towards the realisation of her dream.
Dr Nara dwelt on the achievements of the school since its inception.
Parents and well-wishers attended the programme.
The programme culminated with a feast.
