Badhte Kadam campaign flagged off

Badhte Kadam V, national discoverability campaign, was flagged off today from GM Hall.
The flagged off ceremony, organised by Spastic Society of Manipur in association with the Social Welfare dept, was graced by Social Welfare Minister, AK Meerabai; DC of Imphal West, K Radhakumar Singh and H Rupachandra Singh, Jt Secy, Dept of Social Welfare as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Badhte Kadam is a national level awareness campaign for persons with disabilities, an initiative of National Trust for the welfare of Persons with Autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation and multiple disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India.
The theme for this year Badhte Kadam-V is 'Alone We May, Together We Can.
Let's Join Hands Towards A Better and Inclusive Society' .
Speaking at the occasion, Social Welfare Minister AK Mirabai heartened the participants not to lose hope and spirit because of being a disabled.
