DoNER Secy to inspect NLCPR projects

Imphal, December 16 2012:
The Secretary of DoNER Ministry Rotish Singh would be arriving in the State on December 18 on a 4-day visit to take a first-hand report on the progress of all the projects being taken up by the Ministry in the State under Non-Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) .
According to reports received from the State Planning Department, Rotish Singh would be landing at around 12:30 pm at Tulihal Airport from Kolkata on December 18.After having his lunch at Hotel Imphal, he would be leaving for Konthoujam in Imphal East district and Waithou in Thoubal district to inspect Konthoujam Water Supply Scheme and Waithoupat Water Supply Scheme respectively.
On December 19, the Secretary would be going to inspect the process of installing a 33/11 kv Sub-Station at Willong, Mao.
The next day he would leave for Tamenglong district to inspect the construction of a suspension Bailey bridge along Tamemnglong-Haflong road.
The DoNER Secretary would also be meeting Chief Secretary DS Poonia on December 21 at around 11:45 am before leaving for Kolkata at around 12:20 pm.
The Planning Department has given strict instructions to the Power, PWD and PHED to make arrangements for the 4-day long visit of the DoNER Secretary and also to accompany him in all inspection sites.
At the same time, RK Radhesana, Joint Director, Planning Department has been informed to co-ordinate with the DoNER Secretary during his visit in the State.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary was convened last month much ahead of the scheduled visit of the DoNER Secretary in the State on November 29 .
The meeting decided that Utilisation Certificates (UCs), relevant papers and DPRs of projects taken up under NLCPR should be submitted to the concerned authorities by December so that the pending funds could be release at the earliest possible.
