Imphal, January 07 2009:
The DESAM has alleged that some candidates have been found using unfair practices in the exam of the Female Health Workers (FHM) and GNM being conducted by the Manipur Nursing Council for the first time.
A team of DESAM led by its education secretary Arambam Thoithoi conducted an inspection of the FHWs and GNMs final year examination today.
Altogether 1253 candidates belonging to 16 nursing institutes including one Government nursing institute are appearing in the exam which started from January 5 .
During the inspection tour at exam centres today, some candidates were seen using unfair means violating examination rules.
Moreover, three students were seen sitting together on the same desk and bench at some exam centres.
All these unfair practices should be stopped immediately, Thoithoi said while speaking to media persons this afternoon.
He further demanded that the Government should declare results of the written test conducted for admission in FHW and GNM courses held in October last year at the earliest.
He cautioned that DESAM would not remain mute spectator if the authority concerned indulges in corrupt and irregular practices.
