The Third North East Business Summit will be held on April 10-11, 2007 in New Delhi.
This is a joint event of the Department of Development of the North East (DONER) and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) to showcase the strengths of the Northeastern region and to present significant business opportunities.
Recognising the imperative need to promote the competitive advantage of the region, the ICC has launched a major initiative to help the process of economic development of the region in active collaboration with the Department of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER).
Two Business Summits were earlier held in Mumbai in July 2002 and New Delhi in January 2004.The present summit is being organized with the prime objective of exposing the rich potential of the region to the prospective investors in India and abroad.
Several Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of North-Eastern States and other stake holders are expected to participate in the present Summit which will be inaugurated by Dr.Manmohan Singh,Prime Minister of India.
A press conference is being organized on April 9, 2007 at 12.30 p.m in Shastri Bhavan in order to brief the press before the start of the meeting.
